Objective and Scope of Activities

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Committee of the Illinois Power Agency (IPA) is established to provide a structured platform for stakeholders to engage in dialogue, provide input, and offer feedback on the Agency's equity initiatives. The committee aims to ensure that the implementation of IPA-related equity initiatives of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) are informed by diverse perspectives, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and inclusivity of these programs.

The DEI Advisory Committee will:

  • Strengthen Stakeholder Engagement: Provide a forum for community stakeholders to share diverse insights and recommendations that inform the implementation of the Equity Accountability System.

  • Enhance Program Relevance: Collaborate with community stakeholders to tailor program offerings to the specific needs of Equity Eligible Persons (EEPs) and Equity Eligible Contractors (EECs). 

  • Support DEI Implementation: Act as a proactive measure to mitigate barriers and challenges in the initial years of implementing CEJA’s equity initiatives by gathering stakeholder feedback and sharing updates.
