Public Schools Carbon-Free Reports

Under Section 8-402.2 of the Public Utilities Act, ComEd and Ameren Illinois are required to offer Public Schools Carbon-Free Assessments (“PSCFA”) to the public schools and districts within their territories. The goal of these PSCFAs is to help Illinois public schools increase their energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and help Illinois public schools achieve carbon-free energy usage by 2030.

ComEd and Ameren Illinois must complete all PSCFAs for public schools in their service territories by December 31, 2029. Copies of the completed PSCFAs will be sent to the Illinois Power Agency within three months. The Agency will then post the PSCFAs on this page for public review.
